"Kindness can change the world" globe with altered coconut shell

Hi my dear crafty friends.

I wanted to share with you another project for the International Tournament of Art & Craft 2017 this time for the last, Grand Final challenge - The World. We were challenged to use a circle - symbol of globe and infinity, words for peace, love, harmony, unity, wire or ribbon or something to symbolize interconnectedness, white color of unity and peace in the world and a hole or something open to symbolize open-mindedness.

I decided to create and open globe from an altered coconut shell that I colored in white and wrapped with a wire. Inside of the globe I placed a vintage girl with wings to symbolize hope from the latest Stamperia paper collection. I added some flowers created with small vials on which I put words love, peace and harmony, which can soften our hearts surrounded by barbed wire. I made a stand and a frame for the globe with Scrapiniec chipboards which I colored to look rusty. On the bottom part I added a sentiment "Kindness can change the world" alongside with the metal key to symbolize that it is the key to a better world.

I hope you'll like my project. I also have a new video tutorial on my youtube channel so feel free to stop by and take a look! :) I will be verry happy!

Enjoy the day and see you soon again! :)

America's dreams

Hi my dear crafty friends.

I was so excited for the International Tournament of Art & Craft 2017 but life went in a way a bit and I almost missed it... ALMOST!!! :) I would like to share with you today my first project for The Challenge #5 - The Americas. We were to be inspired by this amazing moodboard:

and challenged to include: shades of green, something transparent or sharp, like ice, an element suggestive of money and currency, element inspired by music or samba and feather, metal or leather.

I decided to make an altered tambourine instrument, that I turned into a dreamcatcher. The art piece is made in shades of ligh blue and green. I used pieces of plexiglass behind the composition and also added some real money - coins for the decoration, that I dry-brushed with white gesso and a bit of Patina pastes touch. I also included a horse, blue butterflies and some star shaped micro beads simbolyzing the star on the Statue of Liberty, which I picked up from the moodboard photos.

I'm also entering this into this month's challenge over at Mixed media place. I think it fits perfectly to the gorgeous soft and dreamy moodboard this month.

Hope you'll like my project. I also have a new video tutorial for you on my youtube channel. Please feel wellcome to visit me there also!

Enjoy the day and see you soon. ;)

Down the rabit hole ATC's with Graphic 45 and Prima

Hi my dear crafty friends. Today I decided to bring you together two of my favourite brands ever - Graphic 45 and Prima or better Finnabair. I made my first ATC's ever. For those who are not familiar with the term ATC, it stands for Artist trading cards and are meant so that artist can exchange them between themselves. It's like a collectors kind of thing. Since quite soon there will be a Halloween time, I made 4 ATC's with Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland collection. I used a special, collector's edition bundle of that collection that is also available for purchase in Kelly's store. I also used some Finnabair rust and patina pastes and added some flowers. I made ATC's in which I cut a keyhole and colored them with rust and patina pastes and then embellished them. Hope you'll like them.

I used several products that you can purchase in 7 kids craft store:

Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day! I haven't been feeling very well lately, but hope to be back with you soon with some more inspiration and maybe even a new video tutorial!
